Building an Unshakable Faith in Unstable Times

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock." Jesus paints a vivid picture of two builders who constructed houses that appeared identical on the surface. However, the true strength of a building is never revealed during sunny days; it is revealed when the storm arrives. In Christ's parable, the exact same trial hit both houses: the rain poured from above, the floods rose from below, and the fierce winds battered them from all sides. But building on the Rock means hearing the teachings of Christ and actively putting them into practice daily. It means choosing obedience over convenience and trusting God's truth over human feelings. When your life is rooted in the eternal Word of God, you become resilient. The winds of trial may howl and the floods of hardship may rise, but your spiritual foundation will hold firm. You will not be consumed by anxiety or broken by adversity, because your life is anchored in the unshakeable truth of Jesus Christ.
